How we review

Our sources

  • Deevid's own product and pricing pages (deevid.ai/pricing), rechecked at the date shown on the review — last verified May 2026.
  • The free tier, used hands-on to confirm the sign-up flow, the 20-credit allotment, the credit system and watermark behaviour.
  • Screenshots of the interface and real exports, so you can see what you actually get rather than just read about it.
  • Deevid's documentation for the list of bundled models (Sora 2, Veo 3.1, Kling, Runway, Pika and others) and commercial-use terms.
  • Third-party signals: Trustpilot reviews, G2 listings, and recent 2026 reviews from independent sites — used as triangulation, never quoted verbatim without a check.

What we cross-check, in practice

For pricing we run the math ourselves: monthly vs annual, credit cost per generation mode (Fast ≈ 5 credits, Quality ≈ 6-7, Master with audio + lip-sync ≈ 7-10), and what 200 / 600 / 3,000 credits buy in real workflows. For features we compare Deevid AI head-to-head against 9 alternatives — HeyGen, Synthesia, InVideo, Fliki, Kling, Vidnoz, Runway, Pika and Sora — with the same evaluation grid. Every claim in the comparisons traces back to a public source or our own use.

What our ratings mean

We use plain qualitative labels — Excellent, Very good, Fair — instead of a precise number like “9.2/10”. A two-decimal score implies a level of measurement no one can honestly claim for a creative tool, so we don't fake one. Each label is tied to a specific, checkable reason.

What we don't do

  • We don't invent statistics, user counts or testimonials.
  • We don't claim long-term hands-on testing we haven't done; our coverage is based on the free tier, the documentation, our pricing math and triangulated public data.
  • We don't let the affiliate relationship soften the criticism — the no-refund policy and the credit-burn variance are flagged as gotchas because they're real, not despite the affiliation.

How often we update

Prices and bundled-models are rechecked at least every 6 months, and any time we spot a public change (new tier, removed model, policy update). Each page carries the last-verified date in the URL section or footer. If a fact changes between two rechecks, we update the page and bump its date.

Corrections

If a price, feature or claim has changed — or you think we got something wrong — contact us. We update the page and change its date when facts change. Corrections are visible in the page change history; we don't silently rewrite history.
